TRANSFORMERS ART GALLERY

Hello everyone,

Welcome to BigBot.COM's Transformers Art gallery. I Have been a long time fan of Transformers, and been drawing them for a long time. Below is a collection of artwork produced by me throughout the past years. Some are done for work, some are done for myself, and some are even done for Transformers fans such as you.

Please take a look, and I hope you enjoy them.

Sincerely,
CHI

OPTIMUS PRIME OPTIMUS PRIME: The first computer art piece I did while working for Bench Press Studios. It was done as a simple b&w line-art, and colored in Photoshop. The photo background was pasted in as a last minute decision, and the black lines were turned into color to give it a more CGI look.
JAZZ JAZZ: The first TF "Snapshot" (a name give by some TF fans) I produced. Having always thought that the idea of placing TF characters in the real world would make a cool visual, I finally came up with this piece after the encouragement (nagging) of my friends. Because I never did anything like it before, it was pretty much a shot in the dark. The finished visual came out a lot better than I could've expected.
SOUNDWAVE + LASERBEAK SOUNDWAVE & LASERBEAK: The second piece in the trial & error process of the Snapshot artwork. I wanted to do a Decepticon piece after Jazz and ended up choosing Soundwave after I found this photo. Because it was a night scene, the light & shadow placement was complete different from the Jazz one. The hardest part was trying to match up all the lighting & water reflection in the background, and to give Laserbeak a sense of motion ejecting out of Soundwave.
GONE FISHING GONE FISHING: This artwork was done as a request from Autobot OP. When he told me that he wanted a Hotrod piece, I just couldn't resist drawing him fishing by a lake.
THE DINOBOTS THE DINOBOTS: This artwork was done for Transfan9. He told me that he like Grimlock & Swoop in the art, but I thought it would look right without Sludge, Slag & Snarl. So I ended up drawing all five of them.
TRYPTICON TRYPTICON: Among all the Snapshots I've done, this was the hardest piece to get right. Because of Trypticon's huge scale, the perspective & lighting was very hard to control. It was tough to blend him into the background without making the visual look too ridiculous.
THUNDERCRACKER THUNDERCRACKER: This piece was done for Goldbug987. Having done some many Snapshots with a landscape background, I wanted to try a flight piece. Thundercracker was chosen because of his color schemes.
DECEPTICON GROUP SHOT DECEPTICON GROUP SHOT: This was the first "official" promo piece produced for the Transformers Trilogy. It featured redesigned visuals of Soundwave, Laserbeak, Scourge, Cyclonus, Shockwave, & Dirge. A matching Autobot group shot was planned, but I haven't found the time to do draw it yet.
LIOKAISER LIOKAISER: This piece was done for Redeemer V. I was asked to produce a picture for his homepage at the time. This was also the only Japanese TF character I have ever done. *This character's name is spelled Liocaesar on the toy box.
WHEELIMUS PRIME WHEELIMUS PRIME: This design was the result of a joke between me & my friends. I tried to come up with a matured Wheelie for laughs, but actually end up liking it afterwards. I also got a chance to run it as an April Fool's Day joke this year.
